Bloober Team's Layers of Fear is back again. The psychedelic horror game inside of a Victorian mansion is now on PlayStation VR, and Layers of Fear received an intense live-action trailer showcasing the terrors to celebrate that new platform.

Layers of Fear released in 2016 as a solid indie horror title, one that helped propel developer Bloober Team to greater heights. This year's The Medium likely would not have been as successful if it weren't for Layers of Fear, and now with the game making the jump to PSVR players can feel closer than ever to the twisted tale of the 1920s painter gone mad.

Layers of Fear for PSVR was announced earlier this month and released today. To commemorate the occasion, a live-action trailer that mixes in gameplay was released as well that cleverly jumps back and forth between the VR gameplay of Layers of Fear and live-action footage of a woman with her VR headset taking in the action. As a finishing touch, the trailer ends with the woman finding out that her room has been transported to the very same world of Layers of Fear.

Bloober Team is not new to using live-action trailers, as real actors were used for The Medium trailers to great effect. Bloober Team has said that it wants to be the Blumhouse of the games industry. Between the horror games that it has released over the years and these live-action trailers, it seems to be holding to that idea.

Layers of Fear VR is available now on Oculus devices and PSVR.
