On Tuesday morning, Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones revealed the Television Academy’s Emmy nominations 2020 list in a first-of-its-kind virtual announcement—with some help from presenters Laverne Cox, Josh Gad, and Tatiana Maslany. Though the reveal came with some of the expected technical difficulties—at one point, Jones spent several agonizing seconds trying to tell Cox she had been nominated for an Emmy, for her guest appearance in the final season of Orange Is the New Black, but Cox could not understand what she was saying—it also contained plenty of good news for Watchmen, HBO’s newly relevant limited series, which led the list with 26 nominations altogether. It was followed by The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, the awards’ most nominated comedy (with 20 nods); Ozark and Succession, sharing the title of most nominated drama with 18 awards apiece, and The Mandalorian and Schitt’s Creek, two beloved programs that nabbed 15 total nods each.
Look below for a full Emmy nominations 2020 list, featuring all the major categories. (You can also compare the final list to Vanity Fair’s predictions.) The Emmy Awards themselves air September 20 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, in a ceremony hosted, once again, by Jimmy Kimmel.
